Husband, myself, teenage daughter and her best friend. We thought the cabins were awesome. Very cozy and great for privacy. Did some canoeing and "toured" the campground. Just wonderful. Husband and I would like to go back alone...we thought it was quite romantic. Would skip the horseback riding next time, as it was really for beginning riders.

We are come here at least 3-4 times a year living only a hundred miles away and having the annual pass makes it very convenient. Would rather stay here than in private parks outside!

Nice place, for the $ it surprises me Disney nickel and dimes it's patrons. Example charging for marshmallow sticks. I just plunked down $1200.00 for passes plus $50 a night for a campsite. Do they really need to hit me for sticks. Pass the word about Crockett's Buffet. Good food good prices.

Our 1st trip to WDW ever and what a campground! They treated us like royalty. The site was immaculate and very convenient to the Meadow Trading Post, comfort stations, movie, bike rental and we had a bus stop too! We didn't use the resort too much but next time...(2003)

This was our third stay at FW, all three times in the 1600 loop since we bring our beagle with us. We love it here and wouldn't stay anywhere else. We like the wooded campsites and the privacy they afford. The comfort stations are always clean, and the place is great for bike riding. The kids can safely go out on their own, and our favorite restaurant - Trails End - is on site. Doesn't get much better than this. Going back in November 2002!!

We have been camping at Fort Wilderness since 1974. By far the greatest campground I have ever stayed at. We will continue to go back year after year. Lots to do at the campground alone; swimming, fishing, boating, bicycle riding, campfire program and movie, electrical water pageant, River Country, petting zoo and pony rides.

This latest trip, 3/2001, we had great weather. A little cool in the mornings, but warmed up by the evening.

This is our 3rd trip to Fort Wilderness: twice with a pop-up, this time with a tent. We just purchased a new TT so we look forward to our next visit. We really like this campground. Not just because it is DISNEY but also because it is DISNEY. We would not be able to stay on property anywhere else in the kingdom due to our number of children, yet we can stay in FW for far less than a single night in any of the resorts. FW is even less per night than the local KOA when you take into account the charge per additional person at the KOA.

As usual, a great time! The campground was wetter than I have ever seen, but Disney seemed to be doing a great job of keeping mosquitoes under control. FW is the best place, bar none, to camp!!

This was our 11th trip in 6 years. As a child We use to camp here in the late 70's, and I remember a train going around the campground as transportation and it probably only contained about 6 loops top, but all the memories of those trips our still very much with me. WE started camping at Ft wilderness when my kids were young and now they are teenagers. Great place for families of all ages we hardly ever see the kids except to eat and go to the parks cause they keep so busy with everything there. You can't beat the price (usually in the$40."s) for all the amenities that the campground offers you...............Karen

For first trip to Disney World was great. We could leave the truck and use Disney transportation, bus to store and dock, take pleasant boat ride across lake to Magic Kingdom. From there connect with monorail or bus to other Disney properties. Pricey yes, but also convenient, plenty to see and do. If you bring or rent a golf cart you can get around Ft. Wilderness better, they discourage driving your vehicle in campground. Streets and pads were clean, level and good repair. In August the heat, humidity and bugs were bad. It rained 4 nights out of 5. Take your own poncho everywhere you go, they cost $6 with the mouse on them. If you have kids it is less hassle than driving from a cheaper cg.

We really liked the convenience of the 100 loop. It is very close to the marina and The Settlement Trading Post as well as Trail's End and Crockett's. We will be bringing our pets with us on our next trip so we requested the 1600 loop. I'll let you know how we like that when we get back in January of 2001!!

This is the 3rd rime we have stayed in our travel trailer (1 time previously in a tent and once a long time ago in the Wilderness Home). Fort Wilderness is great for kids and very clean. The sites are a bit small and some are hard to back into, but they are quiet during the daytime because people are at the parks. The preferred sites are much better if you can get one and have cable for the guys like me that have to get an ESPN fix. Very good overall and the price is worth it.

The campground is very nice, but the sites are a bit small. We had a tree in the way of our awning and a dangerous stump in the way. I "complained" to the CM's but nothing was done. I had to put a box over the stump so that we wouldn't fall and get "stabbed" by it. There was also a 5" drop from the paved area which caused us to almost fall and twist an ankle (almost not real pleasant on my back). I couldn't understand why the pavement didn't extend for the table area. I think FW could use some slight improves. Don't get me wrong, I've seen worse, but we've also stayed at one with nicer sites. Also, there isn't direct access to the dog walk from loop 1600. I couldn't understand that since it IS a dog loop.

Other than that, the campground is very nice and peaceful with lots to do, more so than any other campground we've seen. The guests were all nice. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time to explore the campground. There are peak times for bathroom use, but we have one in the camper so it didn't matter too much. My sis used the comfort stations more than I. If it were in the peak times, I could see where this would cause a long waiting time.

Great place to stay. Our family favorite. This trip was with myself and 4 young adults. We had a blast. Sad to say the homes will be gone soon and this will be our last stay in one. Our next visit will be in a Cabin. Hope they add a few extra handicapped ones. Be nice if they just add ramps to a few of the regular ones for handicapped guests who do not need fully barrier free accommodations.

We've been to FW three times now. Last two we had the same site (1407) what are the chances of that? Granted, things at Disney are a bit pricey, but I think that's known going in. We love FW, you almost need one full day just to "do" Fort Wilderness. We're heading back again in early '01 and can't wait.

We had a great trip. We got to FW the Sunday after Thanksgiving and we were able to get to our site (555) at 11 am. We were a bit surprised at how crowded FW was the week after Thanksgiving, (about 80% in the closer loops, about 60% in the remote loops), but we could tell that the park was thinning out by December 2nd, when we were pulling out. The entire trip was a delight with the one exception being my 4 year old daughter, who is living proof that God makes kids so cute so we won't kill 'em! ;-) We took a 30 foot Travel Trailer, and we loved it so much we plan on buying one this fall. cya, mb

The park was very good overall, although we found backing into the site difficult due to the narrow lanes and having a 35 foot motor home. Pull through would be a big plus. Was sorely disappointed in the shameless, unabashed corporate greed that was displayed everywhere. The total size of Disneyworld would shrink to 1/3 of it's present size if all the venues for separating you from your money were removed.

It was the best trip ever!!! We have gone to Disney 11 times before. Stayed at different onsite hotels, but this was the best experience yet!!! To be able to sit outside and still have privacy, to have everything at your finger tips is priceless. The kids could ride their bikes, take walks, go to the store without worry was just great. Am going again next year just to do it all again!!!

Minus: For a family of 5, plus one teenage guest, the one bathroom is a limitation. Da@#, it's hot in mid June, sure cuts into your daily schedule when you have to take a break to cool off. Plus: You cannot beat the location, do what you want when you want. Peace and quiet. Minutes from the World. Your car is just outside your door.

The whole trip was wonderful! WE had a fabulous time up there. Visited Epcot center; had some wonderful experiences with the fireworks only because the American Pyrotechnics convention was in town...far out!!!! The weather was great...atmosphere was great! Very relaxing!
